Why end-users always suffer regional code problem ?
From 2001/January/01, all DVD manufacturers and dealerships have to obey the mandatory requirement for RPC-II compliance. Drives manufactured from QSI have been already set for 5 times of region change. For example, an end-user is locating in Canada, which is code 1. The first code 2 DVD disc, he/she plays in DVD ROM would be set for that specific region which is code 2.

Then this DVD ROM still has 4 more chances for region change before DVD ROM is permanently locked to last region used.

How can end-users unlock Region Code free ?
By the regulation of Phase II from DVD Copy Control Association, drive manufacturers only implement the Regional Playback Control functions in firmware in the drive itself. Once, end-users need to reset the region of his/her DVD Drive 5 times. The direct way can be re-established by an authorized service centers. Remember, end-users have additional 4 times re-setting chances after purchase.
